This week I added a simple Flash animation to my header just for practice. Next time I will probably use Edge Animate to keep in line with HTML5. I wanted a gradient on my page this time which gave me a few problems. When I hand-coded the small background image, I made a mistake and wrote: container { repeat: x}, rather than: background-repeat: repeat-x, and didn't realize I had made the mistake until I had made several attempts to fix the layout problems it was causing: my footer wouldn't show up properly, my background image was repeating vertically, etc. I learned a lot from that one. Otherwise, went very smoothly. One thing I wanted to do, but couldn't make happen was to add a background color to the right-side column that automatically extended down to 100% height of the parent container. Any way to do that when I already have a background image for the container? Assignment 6 Web Page

Super job on your layout. You've understood really well. Very nice work.
Next week we'll be studying backgrounds and I have a number of solutions for the uneven columns for you. I think your questions will be answered. I'll have that lesson posted soon.
