This weeks assignment gave me a bit of trouble when it came to making the column backgrounds look even. I tried using a background imagine in the parent container, but it just didn't look right. So when i used the large bottom padding and negative bottom margin technique I was able to get a much better result. Using the over-flow design element was easier for me to understand than I thought it would be. Another thing that took awhile to figure out was placing an image inside the flexible width layout. gc.palomar.edu/34634/34634hsanchez5298/Unit%208/SoundsofAnimals.html

Super work. This is working really well. Your image and your column background are adjusting nicely. Your colors are very dark on my screen - so dark in fact that I would not be able to read the text. Perhaps your page is lighter on your screen, so I thought I'd let you know.
Don't forget that you can make changes to your unit 7 assignment to get full credit. Now that you have the "window shade" technique working, it shouldn't be hard.
